Run 24 hours a day by remote controls by a real person who zooms in on wildlife and put infra-red spotlights on animals at night. I’ve seen giraffes, zebras, antelope (kipsringers), hyenas, giant eagle owls, and what looked like a tapir (but may have been a hyena). Can get boring (because it’s live) but that’s part of the fun. Now for Macs too!
Residents are wondering if an animal found dead over the weekend may be the mysterious creature that has mauled dogs, frightened residents and been the subject of local legend for half a generation. The animal was found near power lines along Route 4 on Saturday, apparently struck by a car while chasing a cat.
The astronaut’s explanation of how each usually earth bound creature gets used to zero gravity was very enlightening (pardon the pun). The rat was pregnant and the spider had trouble spinning webs… at first.
